v c (bharana S) To fill. 2 To fill up; to supply cavities, vacuities, deficiencies. 3 To fill in; to put in, into, on (a cargo, a charge, any loading or stuffing). 4 To pour into (liquids, powders, grain, sand &c.) 5 To cover all over (with oil, grease, mud, dung, dust, soot, with a thing in general considered as defiling or as rendering dirty). 6 To fill up (traces, outlines, columns, cells, rolls, tables). 7 To pay in (monies due). 8 To supply a deficit or loss; to make good. 9 To put on (esp. trinkets). Ex. bangadya bharalya, gota bharale, jodave bharale. 10 To complete or fill up (a period or term). Ex. cara divasa kami aheta te bhara maga cakari soda. bharale ndharane To swallow the thing filled or furnished, i.e. the rice, flowers &c. stuck on it;--used of an idol when it makes no response to an inquiry, giving neither ṃujavi nor davi (taking sulks forsooth); as devane mbharale ndharale. Said also of a devil in possession when he disregards the interrogatories of the ndevrsi or exorciser. bharuna dene To supply or make good (some deficiency or loss arising to another. mbharuna pavane To receive in full; to get (all one's claims) fulfilled or satisfied.ṃ
