Ex. poraca prayh khelakade jasa bhara asato tasa vidyekade asata nahi. 3 Charge or loading (of a gun). 4 Rut, heat, periodical desire of the male (among animals). 5 Exacerbation. 6 f Loaded or filled state (of a ship or cart): filled up state (as of an embankment or a thick wall): complement, completed state (as of a number or a quantity). 7 f Earth or stones thrown on or in to fill up (as over the roots of a tree; as in the middle of a dam or wall): also complement, a number or a quantity added to complete. 8 It is used in composition and adverbially. It is affixed and prefixed, though with some difference of power. AFFIXED, it signifies Up to; to the whole amount of; fully or wholly; as ntolabhara sone, mpayalibhara dhanya, kosa- bhara vata, serabhara, manabhara; or as in the class bhayabhara, pritibhara, anandabhara, sampattibhara; or Throughout or through; as prthvibhara, gaṃvabhara, divasabhara, mahinabhara: PREFIXED, it signifies To the uttermost; in the fullest or highest state; to the greatest possible degree; as bharammala, bharakara, bharavairagya, bharaha- ngama, bharatajima, bharapika, bharojhe, mbharakaceri, bharama- dani, bharadaulata, bharakosa. Thus muthabhara rupaye dilhe He gave a handful of rupees; and bharamutha rupaye dilhe He gave a handful closely stuffed and crammed. Some compounds with bhara prefixed occur in order: compounds with bhara affixed, as potabhara, hatabhara, palibhara, dutabhara, answering exactly to Bellyful, handful &c., and being numberless as the occasions for them, do not occur in order. apalya bharane ncalane To rush on headlong; to take one's own (reckless) course. mbhara karane g. of o.
