Meaning of 'renkaneṃ'

To sing, speak, or call out, in a harsh, hoarse, or cracked voice; to sing like an old cow. renkata (karane, mbolane, ncalane &c.) (To do, speak, move) in a slow, sluggish, dawdling, drawling, lingering manner. (In this phrase ṃrenkata is probably used for rengata, for, except in the conjunction above shown, the verb renkane is not used in the sense of Lingering, poking, dawdling) ṃrenkata yene (To come grunting as a buffalo.) To run (to any one) with the eagerness and hurriedness of excited cupidity. Ex. ṃamhasa srimanta hou ndya maga kona pahije to renkata yeila.
