Meaning of 'abhava'

m (S) Negation, privation, nullity, nihility, nonentity. Four kinds are enumerated: viz. pradhvaṃsabhava Destruction; reduction into nihility; pragabhava Antecedent negation or non-existence; anyonyabhava Reciprocal negation; the not being any other thing of this thing, and the not being this thing of any other thing; atyantabhava Simple negation; nullity or non-existence. 2 (Corr. from abhava S) Surmise, supposition, suspicion, belief. Ex. ha dravyavan ahe asa lokammadhye ṃa0 ahe; majha tyane ṃa0 dharala ahe.
