n (kunkuma S) A powder prepared from turmeric colored with lemon-juice, alum &c. It is rubbed by married women on the forehead &c. In the Konka&ntodtod; this powder is called pinjara, and it is only after mixture and preparation with oil that it becomes kunku. Pr. mbodakila kunku ṃvanjhela katabola kasasa pahije? kunku njane g. of s.
