It implies also the part or portion wanting or excessive: also the faint and lingering remainder (of a quality, affection &c. removed or departed). Ex. pagotya- ca ranga puratepani ngela nahi nkaṃhi nka0 ahe; jvara gela parantu kaṃhi nka0 rahili. In some of its current applications it bears the sense of Excess or profit, and in others that of Deficiency or loss; occurring, in the first case, with such verbs as milane, ṃrahane, ṃyene, nnighane, and in the second, with such as mbudane, njane. Ex. ndaha tole sone ngheuna vikari keli tyanta masabhara ka0 rahili; tya rupayammadhye nka0 milali; hya vyaparamadhye mmajhi ka0 budali; tu mojanyamadhye nka0 karu nnako.
